Krishna's Got Big Boots To Fill
With all-star phoenix striker, Nathan Burns departing the Wellington Phoenix will have to look toward other talents to score goals and make it to the playoffs this season.
They will have other talents such as Micheal McGlincy, Blake Powell, Roly Bonevacia and Jeffrey Sarpong, but if the phoenix are going to score goals Krishna will likely have to step up and play a starring role.
Even though they had the league's best player they were still eliminated in the first round of the aleague elimination games last season.
Although Blake Powell had a brief stint at Sydney FC last season he is more accustomed to playing his football at a lower level than that of the aleague.
Although he was impressive in the preseason I would not rate him as a contender for the aleague player of the year.
Anyone such as Sarpong who have played in other top Dutch and Spanish leagues knows the pressure of having to step up and the size of the boots Krishna will have to fill for the departed aleague superstar striker Nathan Burns.
Krishna has so far struggled with the increased attention.
"I was just rushing in the final third. With a bit more experience and training I know that in the front third you've got to be a bit more patient with the ball and calm with the ball," said Krishna.
So if we take this to be true can we expect Krishna to become a consistent scorer for the aleague side the Wellington Phoenix?
"Of course," said Krishna.
Although the Phoenix have never looked entirely promising from set pieces, Krishna is hoping that with a little training he will be able to create some magic to propel the Wellington Phoenix forward.
The wellington Phoenix's first game in the Hyundai a league will happen on Sunday 11th October at Westpac Stadium.

Supporters and current members of the aleague side the Brisbane Roar are at the Barkie group who currently manage the Brisbane roar.
They are outraged at the Barkie Group's decision to try and hold on the Brisbane Roar after the financial turmoil they have been placed through.
The Group has the intention of staying in charge of the side as the progress into the 2015/16 season. They also intend to try to return the aleague side to its former glory.

The Barkie Group has not taken this criticism lightly and promises they will strive toward returning the former glory which the Brisbane Roar once retained.
The Barkie Group says that they are shocked at the level of discontent and will be working toward improving their image toward the fans.
What shocked the Barkie Group was the outrage over the recent financial turmoil. The Barkie Group has forced the aleague club the Brisbane Roar into.
Fans demand an apology for financial and emotional stress under which they have placed their supporters.
The Barkie group did not promise an apology as such but did say what happened is not ok and will need to fixed soon.
They also say that they will aim to have the aleague club's debt paid off by January next year.
Supporters have also raised questions over the legitimacy of Chris Fong who is the current director of the Barkie Group. He claims that he had gotten permission from the Barkie Group to sell the aleague club off to overseas investors.

It's a question that many aleague fans will be asking themselves as the aleague season comes closer. You would be silly to write them off as having no chance that would be a silly decision.
They will be motivated because of their disappointing finish to last season.
Durante, Metric and the Phoenix will be ruing their wounds from last season and will be back looking to play.
The Phoenix vibrant performance last aleague season were a joy to watch as they were vibrant and they were able to terrorize their opponents and score at will.
But the question is can Merrick take this crop of stars and turn them into a team of winners?
aleague side Wellington Phoenix team emblem.

The Burning Questions?
Can they replace the amazing Socceroo Nathan Burns?
Will they be as successful across the ditch as they were last year?
Has Metric found a star in Jeffrey Sarpong?
Lessons that will have to be learnt from last season
The biggest lesson they will have to learn is, it is all good to perform well on the regular season, but you have to produce good performances in the finals as well.
The Trip Ahead
You can't deny that it had been a bumpy aleague pre season for the Phoenix, but they kick off a meaningful start at home when they face the Newcastle Jets.
The club has again looked to spread the aleague love throughout New Zealand by choosing to play in two other location's as round the country. These locations are QBE stadium in Auckland vs the Melbourne Victory on Dec 5 and they will face the Mariners at AMI stadium in Christchurch on January 30th of next year.
Home fans sadly won't get the chance to see their team player through the Christmas season as they are away playing the Aussies an Australia.
The one bonus the Phoenix have is that they will only have to travel to Perth once this season and that will happen on round two.
Forthcoming Strengths
Bonevacia and Rodriguez have a year of the aleague through them already.
Their defence is very organised.
They have plenty of midfield options to choose from.
Weaknesses
Lack of consistent scorers due to the loss of Cunningham and Burns.
Tactics
aleague coach Ernie Merrick.

They have Merrick, the longest serving coach in the aleague. His methods are proven and well known.
Merrick always encourages his side to attack.
They have a very intact Kiwi base (apart from Burns).
They have a rock at the back in Durante.
You know what you will get week in week out.
Krishna, Bonevacia and Rodriguez will add a little bit of flexibility to the side and the ultimate prize could be Sarpong.
If it comes off it will be a brilliant season to watch.
Stars
Tom Doyle
A powerful contender for a place in the starting eleven.

aleague Pheonix team member Tom Doyle.
Final Word
If they maintain the high standards of last season we should have plenty of cracker games to watch and enjoy.
The big question is will they perform when it counts or will they crack under the pressure?

He says that leadership is a thing that his aleague side Adelaide United have lacked through previous seasons. For the Reds, there is no greater rivalry than the aleague team the Melbourne Victory said, McGowan.
He also said that not being able to play and watching your mates go out there and have a blast was incredibly difficult as he enjoys playing so much.
Now that the team is looking good and have a few players returning from injury things are looking up for the Reds.

These aleague games are always bruising, exciting, pulsating encounters that are great for the fans to enjoy.
McGowan said, "If we play a couple of games at Adelaide Oval to fit in an extra 20,000 people then so be it. The boys are happy that and it helps us build the clubs reputation within South Australia."
He says that at the end of the day we are all members of the club.
He says that it should be a great first aleague fixture and encourages all to come along.

An impossible dream
People such as Eugene Galekovic, matt McKay, Aaron Moody and Tarek Elrich will not be available for section for their upcoming match in the first round of the Hyndai ALeague in a few days time. They are away training with the Socceroos, awaiting their world cup qualifier against Jordan. But for Tarek Elrich this is just a small sacrifice made in his club career to continue fighting for his goal to represent Australia a a world cup.
"Hopefully I can tick off a dream of playing in a world cup," said Elrich. He also said that three years ago h would never have considered being able to play for a world cup side, but now says that the dream is well within his reach. Even thinking about being of the plane to Russia in twenty eighteen, he would have deemed an obscure fantasy.
As one of the three main signings for the new ALeague club the Western Sydney Wanderers. Elrich being an ex newcastle jets boy struggled to get himself into Youssouf Hersi's starting lineup.
Released at the end of the last ALeague season, Elrich was on the lookout to pick up a signing with another club. He was picked up by new Adelaide coach Joeseph Gombau.
Elrich claims that Joeseph gave him a lot of confidence. he was able to pick up things in Elrich's game that other ALeague coaches were oblivious to.
While at his new club Elrich said that he has been feeling the pressure to play, "In the past i was told to keep it simple, whereas now I'm running with the ball and trying to create things for the team."
"In the past I always had the fear that I would be dropped for the next game," but with Joeseph I have been allowed to make mistakes and improve myself as a general all round player.
After two amazing ALeague season playing in various places across the back line Elrich has been boosted into playing contention. Even though it took him until he was twenty eight to make his international debut.
Elich was a truly spectacular player in the Hyndai ALeague. So please feel free to watch his highlight below.

Why the ALeague is stupid to ignore promotion vs relegation.
As the new ALeague season begins expanding seems a distant hope, a dream and nothing more. Nothing would excite fans more than the prospect of being able to watch more clubs. people are frustrated that it may be several years before they are able to see their local club compete to enter the ALeague. And they will be waiting at least another couple of years because the ALeague board of directors is unlikely to change its decision.
All the big leagues do it, the Bundasliga, FFA and the English premier league. Promotion and relegation is how these big leagues go about adding new teams and new excitement to their respective competitions.
Theses big leagues have enjoyed stunning success. An example of this is the fact that the FFA enjoyed 11,000 fans at it's Olympic village. This is conclusive evidence that a market exists for such a change to the ALeague. What if nothing is done? The clear evidence tells us that if the ALeague does nothing it will go in to steady decline.
Two competitions, running separately could link together to provide a way for teams to be promoted and relegated from the ALeague. Since the formation of the NSL in 1977, the link has never existed properly and entirely.
What would be achieved with promotion and relegation systems? If this were true then it would allow state based teams in Australia and New Zealand to compete for a place in the ALeague.
So the doubait is this, If there is a promotion and relegation system introduced in the ALeague will the numerous beneficial things that would occur outweigh all the useless stuff the the ALeague board would come up with to combat it?

The Aleague side, the Central Coast Mariners have a reputation for having some of the worst playing strips in A eague history. The chances of this happening to all those of us who want to watch this ALeague season is quite laughable because the club has chosen to focus its efforts on getting a good community following in it's home town of Gosford. The Central Coast Mariners are taking the first steps to have a membership program with a direct influence on Australian football after beginning a plan to introduce voting rights to people who wish to hold a season ticket.
Although they are the smallest club the ALeague side the Central Coast Mariners are looking to become the most community based to in the ALeague. The whole idea is that people with a season ticket will be able to vote on what they want the club to do the most. Trough this rebuilding process the club hopes to make itself the most community based and supported club in the ALeague.
The season ticket holders have already been able to make the club lower it's prices for admittance to a game. The season members have also been behind the decision to have a new theme song for the side. The new theme song will be unveils when the Central Coast Mariners play their first game of the Aleague 2015 season against the Perth Glory in round one.
Furthermore the members of the Central Coast mariners will also be consulted on future playing strips for the team. This will also be decided in a vote.

The new relationship has been welcomed with joy by club members because most of them hated the vulger playing kit that the side played with last year.
12 years after the Crawford Report into the situation of Australian football noted that clubs should give members the right to vote for what they want the club to do. The ALeague side, the Central Coast Mariners are well on their way to doing this much to the joy of the fans and Australian football.
People who belong to the club will also have access to pre match events and away match events. The clubs decision to lower the price of an adult ticket as low as fifteen dollars and a family ticket at thirty five dollars has been welcomed by members of the club. This was all decided be consulting current members as to what they wanted and what they felt was the right thing to do.
