In a surprise event, the Aleague club the Melbourne Victory have surpassed the record for the most memberships purchased before the beginning of a season.
24,232 people have signed up to become official members of the ALeague club the Melbourne Victory for the 2015/16 season. This beats the old record set by the same club just last Year.
Club chairman Anthony Di Pietro thanked every member for their support of the club.
He also stated that despite reaching a membership record the club has still fallen belows its ALeague target for the season. So he encourages all Melbourne Victory fans who are not members to climb aboard and purchase a membership.
